Fiddle and Faff are a musical duo based in Kent.
They wanted a site that reflected their folk-style music – something very natural and visual. They needed to be able to easily display events, update a ‘scrapbook’ album and add snippets of their songs to the site.
As there wasn’t a lot of content, and to keep the site as visual as possible, we went for a one-page, scrolling website with Parallax backgrounds of woodland scenes and bluebells. The site has a quirky, friendly feel to it, which the duo felt reflected their music and personalities perfectly.
So what was Fiddle and Faff’s feedback?
“We are absolutely delighted at the website that Sarah has created for us. As a folk duo, we wanted something that would express visually the sound that we create and that is quite a difficult thing to imagine, let alone to interpret. We gave Sarah some vague ideas about woodlands and bluebells and she has created a site for us that we have been told looks ‘gorgeous and sumptuous’. Other people have said how much the site reflects the people that we are and the music that we make, and so that is just perfect!
Sarah has been endlessly patient and helpful in interpreting our ideas, and then using her own professional skills to suggest a fantastic responsive layout and easy to use audio buttons that look really funky too! We cannot recommend her more highly.”
